“On February 17th, 1945, my great-grandfather Friedrich wrote a letter to his fleeing family one hour before he was executed by the Nazis for his refusal of military service. Based on this true family story, the film relates Friedrich's farewell, narrated by his son-in-law Ernst. The original letter will soon be part of a permanent exhibition at the German Historical Museum, Berlin.
