Sri Lanka and CA, US
This film began as a reaction to recent elections in Sri Lanka, which saw the rise of the Rajapaksa family to bold new heights. It then expanded into a wider exploration of misery as a global phenomenon. This associative stream of visuals, culled from the past, reflects on the roles of art, labor, and journalism in contemporary Sri Lanka, and also speaks to conditions throughout the world.
