Beijing, China
On the grassland in the southeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, a shepherd at the state-run sheep farm, Gyabo and his wife have been worried about their son, Tenzin. Tenzin grew up caring for a black sheep in his father’s herd rather than the preferred white sheep. Years later, Gyabo hopes to follow tradition and arrange a marriage for his son, and then train him to be his inheritor, as a shepherd. Tenzin and his black sheep are forced to run towards their unknown destiny.
